Our Equestrian Experience

Guests can enjoy guided horseback riding tours through the foothills of El Yunque, or dive into our riding school with lessons, boarding, and top-tier facilities for jumping, dressage, and trail riding.
At the Hacienda Siesta Alegre Equestrian Center, nestled near El Yunque National Rainforest since 1981, we’ve proudly bred, trained, rescued, and rehabilitated Thoroughbred horses. Many stakes winners began their journey on our farm. Our growth into an equestrian school has created new careers for horses and launched riders into competitive racing, dressage, and jumping — with a future cross-country course on the way. We are also home to the Rainfall Tour Horse Shows, Alegre Equine Air Transport, and USDA Equine Import/Export Quarantine.
But our mission goes even deeper.
Alegre Equine Rescue Corp. is a not-for-profit organization devoted to rescuing, retraining, and reschooling Thoroughbred horses so they can live meaningful lives and find loving homes. We provide a safe haven for healing and growth, while educating our community and opening doors to careers in the equine industry.
