Hacienda Siesta Alegre Memory Boxes

All boxes are finely crafted from maple wood and finished in a beautiful high gloss cherry finish. The interior is richly lined with burgundy velvet material designed for jewelry.   Using an advanced acrylic process, each photo is adhered to a ceramic tile, which is nicely inlaid into lid of each box.  Box comes packaged in a white gift box with a top cutout Window and is tied with Raffia.

Brass plate for engraving is another custom option that works for corporate gifts. We can provide an attractive oval or rounded square brass plate inside the lid of your boxes with your city, company name, date or title of event engraved on it. For logo engraving, we require a one-time set up fee and an additional charge for engraving. If you wish to engrave a logo, just email it to us in a .tif or bit map file.

Spanish Fans

In its heyday, the folding fan was a must-have accessory – the early 19th-century equivalent of a lithe designer bag, flirty sandal and a well-poised Martini combined. More than a fashion statement, it was a courtship tool women used to signal their romantic interests, the right tap or flutter meaning anything from “come hither” to “don’t waste your time.”  Today, they are increasingly popular as a tropical accessory.

All fans are hand-painted wood and come in individual cardboard boxes.

Ladies’ Shawls

These shawls are a nice option for the women They are embroidered with beautiful floral designs.  They measure 70 in. along the top edge, and measure 37 in. from the centre fold to the tip of the triangle.  These are 100 % polyester and we would need 90 days to get these made and delivered.  There is an assortment of color and embroidery including wine red, white, black, hunter green, etc.  Packaged in gift bow with raffia:

Coqui Pin

Created by a local ceramic artisan, the coqui pin is a replica of the infamous Coqui frog of Puerto Rico. If your guests are not familiar with the Coqui they will certainly get to know them while they are in Puerto Rico. This little creature is the pride and joy of Puerto Rico! The Coqui fills the Puerto Rican nights with his unique and melodious singing which clearly says “co-qui”. According to legend, this means I love you.  Comes on a description card.

“Vejigante Masks”

These ceramic masks are hand crafted by one of our local artisans.  Containing a hook for hanging, they are a great memento of Puerto Rico’s culture!  Great as a plate topper or placed in box with tissue paper wrap and raffia:

Musical Instruments

A variety of musical instruments contribute to the rich variety of Puerto Rican music with roots in the cultural melting pot of Puerto Rico’s Taíno, Spanish, and African traditions…. Maracas, Guiros, Panderetas, and Palitos.  We will add a description card explaining its’ significance….

Crystal Coquis

The Island of Enchantment is home to one of Nature’s most melodious creatures, the Coqui Frog.   Celebrate Puerto Rico’s pride and joy with these crystals.  All of these figures are made with 32% full-leaded Swarovski Austrian Crystal. However, they are not Swarovski made.  They come in a foam padded white gift box with a certificate of authenticity card inside.  We would wrap them in colored tissue with a description card of the coqui like you see below.

Panama Hats

Celebrate Puerto Rico and Hacienda Siesta Alegre’s  spanish colonial heritage with a traditional Panama Hat! They are truly a timeless beauty in the hat world. However, this straw hat has a long history to its credit.

The Spaniards soon started wearing the hats made from the toquilla straw. The Spanish colonialists soon began to produce European style straw hats replacing the traditional long straw hats and the modern day Panama Hat was born!
